ESD Mats also called ESD PVC Vinyl Mats or Anti Static Mat is a rectangular piece of mat that is commonly used in places where there is mostly electronic work is done. Electronic items manufacturing, assembling and other works need an electrically neutral environment otherwise there is more changes of them getting short circuited.
ESD Mat is three layered with a thickness of 2 mm. The triple layers help static charges easily flow through it. Beneath it lies conductive copper strip that takes the charges to the grounding point.
Other than this, ESD Mat is quite flexible and stretchy. It can withstand high temperatures and can easily overcome strong impacts.
