Increased cost pressures & competition have forced processor to increase filler loading (i.e. increase the amount of fillers like Calcium Carbonate) in PVC pipes, profile etc.Often increased filler loading is associated with deterioration of the physical property of the products, most notably the impact properties of the finished products.With the addition of ProAid+, the original physical / mechanical properties of the polymer are maintained even at higher filler loading .
How ProAid + Works
ProAid + lowers the viscosity of the PVC Resin which increase fusion among different constituents in vinyl formulation and also disperses mineral filler better bond with the polymer, so it is possible to add more filler.

In production units where many polymers are used, generally the scrap generated is not kept separately for each polymer. The realization of such scrap is low, as the different materials are not compatible with each other.
It is also difficult to identify different materials in scrap form. ScrapAlloy combines streams of mixed polymers such as HDPE / PP, PET / PE, Nylon / PE (laminate film scrap) etc. and converts such stream of mixed scrap into a useful product.The general principle of Polymer Alloying is to reduce interfacial energy between two polymers in order to increase adhesion.Generally, adding ScrapAlloy also results in finer dispersion, as well as more regular and stable morphologies. Adding Scrap Alloy generally increases mechanical performance and surface properties. Scrap Alloy acts as a solid surfactant to increase interphase adhesion and create alloys of commonly used polar polymers and polyolefins.
A dosage of 2% to 4% of ScrapAlloy is recommended. Scrap Alloy is available in 25 kg bags.

Packaging
Manufacturers ofHM-HDPE filmsand sheets would like to use a larger quantity of waste injection molded / blow molded HDPE. This kind of waste is cheaper and available widely.
However, trying to use larger quantities of HM/HDPE film causes film to puncture or there is serious problem in blowing the bubble itself. Furthermore, the film is stiff and rough even when smaller amounts of HDPE are used.

Chemical Composition
VinTuff is a low molecular weight co-polymer with high polarity. Polarity is imparted with the acid group monomers.
How VinTuff Functions
When VinTuff is dissolved in monomers like styrene and mixed in unsaturated polyester resin, it imparts polarity to glass fiber and other inorganic fillers resulting in better interface.Glass fiber/clays being heavier in density tend to come to the surface making the moulded surface rough. Addition of VinTuff promotes interfacial adhesion, thus not permitting fillers and fiber to migrate towards surface.

Stretch cling packing is a process in which a pre-extruded tacky film is wrapped around the product such as bundle, roll, pallet load, etc. of any shape and size to impart a firm grip to the packed products.The tacky characteristics of the film helps in self adhesion of the wrap without any external aid.Stretch cling film can be made out of EVA copolymer, PVC, or LLDPE. The film must have an excellent elongation property in machine direction and good tear strength in transverse direction.LLDPE is the prefered polymer for producing stretch cling film. Besides above mentioned characteristics, LLDPE also exhibits excellent draw down characteristics. Cling masterbatch is based on polyisobutene (PIB). This imparts more elasticity to develop a better cling effect.

Dosing Level:
A moderate 6 to 8% PIB in the final product would give the desired cling effect. However the exact dosage of PIB masterbatch depends on the type of process and the product specification.For better effects of cling, it is recommended to use octene based LLDPE.It is important to note that the user should wait for 24 hours to get the maximum cling effect since it has a comparatively slower migration and PIB molecules take time to settle on the film surface.
