Dioctyl Maleate is a maleic acid that can act as a plasticizer and is used in resins to provide elasticity and flexibility. It is an unsaturated ester which readily polymerizes with vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, acrylates, styrene. DOM has applications is emulsion paint systems, adhesives, paper and textile coatings, oil additives and surfactants.
