Applications :
VRD Copper Tubes for Medical Gas Pipe System is manufactured in compliance to EN 13348, with a hardness of R290. Cleanliness is in accordance with SIS HB 370, i.e. the internal residual level of hydrocarbons (oil residues) does not exceed 2.5 mg / m². These tubes are supplied in sizes ranging from 12 mm to 54 mm in standard lengths of 10 feet for favorable transport economics.
The standard EN 13348 defines that raw material for copper tubing shall be at least 99.9% oxygen-free de-oxidized copper. The reason copper is made of oxygen-free copper is its sensitivity to hydrogen embrittlement. This could occur if copper pipes were exposed to a hydrogen-containing atmosphere at temperatures above 400°C.
