Sewage Treatment Plant

Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from waste water and household sewage, both run-off (effluents), domestic, commercial and institutional. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological contaminants. Its objective is to produce an environmentally safe fluid waste stream (or treated effluent) and a solid waste (or treated sludge) suitable for disposal or reuse (usually as farm fertilizer). Using advanced technology it is now possible to re-use sewage effluent for drinking water, although Singapore is the only country to implement such technology on a production scale in its production of NEWater.

Sewage Treatment Plant is a facility designed to receive the waste from domestic, commercial and industrial sources and to remove materials that damage water quality and compromise public health and safety when discharged into water receiving systems.

The Principal objective of waste water treatment is generally to allow human and industrial effluents to be disposed of without danger to human health or unacceptable damage to the natural environment. After biological treatment, water may be recovered by adopting tertiary treatment, that may be used for gardening/ flushing and other utilities. The Compact Package plant is simple to operate, requires minimal maintenance, it requires minimum power, land & consumables for reducing operating cost. These are generally manufactured in MS epoxy coated or Stainless steel / FRP as per the specific need. These compact plant are ideal for hotels, hospitals, holiday resorts, country / golf clubs, schools, housing complexes, national parks & industrial commercial complexes. The advantages of smaller decentralized local units for treatment of communal waste water / sewage especially in area where developing urbanization has to integrate with the environment.

Sewage Treatment Plant can be designed on following technologies:

1. Underground STP based on bioreactor (Biofilters)

2. Mobile containerized STP based on Submersed media aerobic reactor (SMAeR)

3. Compact plant based on Fluidized aerobic reactor (FAeR)

4. Decentralized Sewage Treatment Plant

Swimming Pool Water Treatment

Swimming pool water must undergo treatment, in order to remain clear and clean, free from harmful substances, bacteria, viruses, algae and other pathogens and suitable for use by swimmers. Swimming pool water is treated by means of various purification steps .The water is first transported from swimming pools to a water purification plant. In the water purification plant, it will flow through a hair removal filter , which removes raw pollution, such as hairs, plasters and leaves, from water.

Ro Systems

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a membrane-technology filtration method to purify drinking water by removing many types of excess minerals and dissolved solids from supply water by applying pressure through a selective membrane having pore diameter of 0.0001 ?m that removes more than 90% of dissolved impurities (virus, germs, poisons, compound metals like Arsenic, Cobalt, Mercury etc). Purified water is collected for use as per the required storage and remained impurities in water are flushed to drain/rejected briny waste. We have used innovation to reduce energy consumption, used sustainable energy sources, improved process of desalination to minimize waste.

Reverse Osmosis can provide can be used to provide treated water from the kitchen counter in a private residence to an installation used in manned space craft. Other common uses includes Portable Drinking Water, Pharmaceutical Separation, Water used in chemical process, Laboratories, Applications, Ultrapure Water, Food Concentration, Water purification for spot-free rinses, Icemaking, Kidney Dialysis, Hemodialysis, Desalination, Emulsified Oil-Water Separation, Juice Concentration, Ultrapure water system for Semiconductor manufacturing, CNC machines for Auto parts manufacturing.

When you measure the total dissolved solids (TDS) in a water sample, you are getting a rough estimate of how many non-water substances are floating in your water. While pure distilled water has a TDS of 0 parts per million, most tap water can be well over 300 parts per million. With a reverse osmosis water purification system, you can lower your water's TDS to under 100 parts per million--this is the purest water you can get outside a laboratory.

When you have a water purification system installed from Clean Water Products, you'll see a difference immediately. Without all the floating minerals in your water, you'll find that it is easier to clean with and it quenches your thirst more fully. It will also moisturize and nourish your skin, and it won't leave any residue in your sinks or showers.

Water purification doesn't just make your life easier--it makes it more enjoyable. When you have crystal clear, pure water coming from the tap, you won't need to spend money on bottled drinks or expensive lotions. Water Softener

The Water Softener, is an ion exchange unit (both automatic & manual) designed to generate soft water for industrial and domestic use. It is simple to operate, inexpensive to maintain and is widely used. The softener comprises of MS, steel, FRP pressure vessels containing a bed of cation exchange resin, a regenerating system and control valves.

A strongly acidic cation exchange resin in sodium form is used to exchange sodium ions for the hardness forming calcium and magnesium ions, and thus produce soft water. At the end of each service cycle, the ion exchange resin is regenerated with sodium chloride solution, after which the units is ready for the next service cycle.

For larger plants, a brine measuring tank is provided, and a separate salt saturator, preferably in concrete, is recommended for bulk storage of salt and preparation of brine. Standard equipments is available to soften water, upto a maximum flow rate of 275m3/h.

The Solution Is The Problem

While water is in the ground, it picks up soluble bits of whatever it passes through. While this can mean contamination that makes the water unfit to drink, in many cases it simply means that the water contains minerals found in the earth. Of these, calcium and magnesium are of

particular importance because they affect the water's ability to function in our homes. These minerals make our water hard.

One effect of hard water is that soaps and detergents lose some effectiveness. Instead of dissolving completely, soap combines with the minerals to form a coagulated soap curd. Because less soap is dissolved, more is required. And the sticky insoluble curd hangs around-- it clings to the skin and may actually inhibit cleansing. Washed hair seems dull and lifeless.

In the laundry, things aren't much better. The soap curd can work its way into your clothes as they're being washed in your automatic washing machine. This can keep dirt trapped in the fibers, and it can stiffen and roughen the fabric.

In addition to affecting the actual washing process, insoluble soap deposits leave spots on everything you wash--from your dishes to the family car--and a soap film will build up in your bath and shower.

Another reason to be concerned about hard water is its effect on your plumbing system. Calcium and magnesium deposits can build up in pipes, reducing flow to taps and appliances. In water heaters, these minerals generate a scale buildup that reduces the efficiency and life of the heater.
