Double Fortified Slat or DFS is a salt that is fit for human consumption and can be used as a cooking salt as well as free flowing table salt. This salt has contents such as sodium, iodine and encapsulated iron.
The salt that possesses salt, iodine and anti caking agents as well is known as free flow iodized salt. The presence of anti caking agents enables this salt to be used as cooking salt as well as table salt due to the free flow provided by it.
This type of salt is basically produced for supply to customers who use it for their cooking purposes. Refined iodized salt has the maximum balanced iodine and edible salt contents and consists of a moisture level of 3%. The salt is treated with proper industrial measures so as to provide the high content of edibility for human consumption.
