With PASCOs Polarimeter you can measure the optical rotation of chiral compounds. This makes it ideal for introductory Organic and Biochemistry experiments dealing with chirality.
Plane polarized light is passed through a sample which contains a chiral compound, to an analyzer and a detector. The degree of optical rotation of the plane polarized light is based on the type and amount of sample present. Determine the concentration of a sugar solution based on the optical rotation of plane polarized light.
The Polarimeter also features both Bluetooth and USB connectivity, the Polarimeter works on your iPad, Chromebook, Android tablet and Windows or Mac Computers running PASCO software for data collection and analysis.
