This electro chemical deburring requires high-pressure salt solution and direct current power for dissolving the burrs electrochemically burrs. It is perfect for both batch and flow production.
Deburring is the finishing technique required for manufacturing of precise components. In industry manual methods are commonly employed for burr removal. Deburring operation with high efficiency and full automation is a very difficult task. Further, removal of internal burrs of various size and shape sometimes becomes extremely difficult task. In such situation electrochemical deburring (ECD) offers a potential solution to such problem. In case of ECD, burr is removed by electrochemical dissolution, rather than by mechanical force. Due to non-contact nature of the process there is no residual stress and thermal effect on the job surface.
PRINCIPLE: Electro chemical deburring is based on the fundamental process of electrolysis. The part which is carefully dimensionally designed is placed near the area of deburring. The material is removed from the anode and dissolved in the solution.
On the component the burr root thickness less than 0.2mm and height 1.00mm can be demurred to maintain the edge rounding from R=0.2 to 0.5mm, in a cycle time
Of 20 to 30 seconds. If the burr is above specification limits, the rounding varies from R=0.5 to 1.5mm in a cycle time of 60 to 100 seconds.
