Picked when yellow, this sweet date is crisp like an apple. The single seeded fruit is medium sized, shape broadly ovate to somewhat rounded. Flavor is rich and delicate with a low total soluble solid .flesh is thick and juicy. The harvesting season of barhi date starts around end of june and continue use for up to six weeks depending on weather conditions. In order to produce finest quality of fresh dates, large paper bags are wrapped around each date bunch in order to keep off the rain and also to deter birds; sunshine and insects from running the fresh ripen dates.
