We are reckoned as a prime Biomass Briquettes Manufacturer, Exporter, and Supplier in India. Our Biomass Briquettes are widely used for any type of thermal application, like steam generation in boilers, heating purpose, and drying processes to replace existing conventional fuels like lignite, coal, fire wood, and also furnace oil. The Biomass Briquettes are non conventional source of energy, eco-friendly and renewable in nature, non-polluting, and also economical. Biomass Briquettes have high specific density [1200kg/cumt] and bulk density [800 kg/cumt] compared to 60 to 180 kg/cumt of loose biomass. Biomass Briquettes can withstand long distance transport, have less loading and unloading and transport costs, and consume less storage space. Moreover, compared to firewood and loose biomass, Biomass Briquettes give much higher boiler efficiency because of low moisture and high density.

Advantages Of Biomass Briquettes :
  • Low ash content of less than 8% and no fly ash
  • Very low Sulphur content of 0.02%
  • Moisture content of less than 10%
  • No pollution, since these do not emit any hazardous fumes during consumption
  • Ease in handing and storage due to uniform size
  • Combustion is more uniform compared to other fuels
  • Consistent quality
  • Handling and transportation issues are minimal
  • Biomass Briquettes users are eligible to get carbon credits

Note : Please note that the above values indicated are approximate and meant for a comparative study. Fuel cost comparison to be made based on heat value/differential transportation cost. Burning Characteristics of Biomass Briquettes : Biomass has high volatile matter content, so as soon as it is ignited the volatile matters get released and if proper features are not provided in the furnace design, they will escape un-burnt. A high quantum of secondary air should be provided for this purpose and adequate spaced should be provided for combustion. Excess air required for Briquette is 35% against 10% for coal. Biomass Briquettes are not easy to ignite compared to Coal/Firewood/Oil/Charcoal. Because of the above burning characteristics, safety in storage is better than other fuels. Biomass Briquettes are smokeless when burning and ash content is very low. Biomass ash is of low density and will get lifted easily by the draft if powerful enough and then it can choke the air passage. Due to low level of binding vis-a-vis coal and wood, the Biomass Briquettes crumble easily as compared to coal and wood. The grate should be designed to create the adequate draft. Ash is very light and hence evacuation of the ash is very important. Provision of a light slow speed blower at the feed should improve the efficiency remarkably. The charging of the furnace should be often and regular and the judgment being flame based. Overcharging will immediately douse the fire. When correctly used fuel saving will be 54% approx based on studies made. Clinker Formation Can Be Avoided By Following The Process :
  • Feeding right quantity of briquette in the furnace
  • Frequent feeding of briquette in the furnace
  • Feeding should be done for every 5-10 min and not in longer intervals
  • Distribution of the Biomass Briquettes should be uniform on the grate
  • Supplying the right quantity of primary and secondary air i.e. 1 kg of briquette requires 6p kg of air for complete combustion i.e. providing excess air to the extent of 30% of the stoichiometric air
