PVC-resin is made with suspen-iltion polymerization. It is one of the most widely used to manufacture plastic. PVC is shock resistant so can be used to make hard PVC products. It can offer good solubility, good electrical insulation, thermo-plasticity and membrane forming capability. It can offer good chemical stability, resist corrosion and water. Around the world, over 50% of PVC manufactured is used in construction. As a building material, PVC is cheap, durable, light weight, high strength, and low reactivity so it is easy to assemble. About 43 % of the weight of PVC comes from crude oil. The other 57 % comes from a material with unlimited availability i.e. salt (NaCl). In some of the factories, salt is a by-product for some processes and PVC manufacturing activity uses this salt as a raw material. Use of PVC resin depends upon different suspension grade as follows.

Surya Exim Limited (Surya) is a closely held Public Limited Company engaged in the business of marketing of commodities like Non-Coking Coal, Polyester Yarn/Chips, Pet Resins, Polymers like PVC Resin, PP Raffia, LDPE, HDPE, MEG, Nylon Chips, LEG Lights & PTA/MEG etc. Due to rising demand of several other products, the Company has expanded its existing business portfolio to import of Series Special Inverter, VFD, and AC Drive etc. The Company is having its Registered Office located at Surat and branch Office located at Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Daman, Silvassa & Jalgaon. The branches at Daman, Silvassa, Mumbai and Jalgaon are in full operation as on date.
The Company is also having an integrated Coal Sorting, Grading and Warehousing unit located at the Magdalla Port, near Surat. The Company is having all these locations in a prime situation and in the range of 300 KMS from Mumbai, the economic financial capital of India.
Surat is also considered as the fastest growing city in the Asia, having 70% production of synthetics cloths in India. The items imported by the Company are the basic materials used by Textile Industry and Plastics Industry. Non-coking Coal is used for producing steam, which is widely used in the textile / Paper / Power industry.
Surat is also famous for polishing of rough imported diamonds and export thereafter. Surat has captured 70% share of the polishing diamonds in the International Market.
