The ventilated type of hygrometer gives grater accuracy for humidity demonstrations and is particularly useful for measuring local differences in humidity. There are two thermometers mounted in metal case, one having a wick dipping into a water reservoir at the end of the frame. The thermometers are stem engraved with lens fronts for easy reading range -5 to 50C x 0.5C
On sturdy streamlined base with provision for vertical or horizontal use. Fork is manufactured from selected steel. Prong is 10x25x300mm. Accurate frequency adjustment; chrome plated, vibration rate 60 per second. Electromagnet can work on 6 Volts. The amplitude of vibration can be varied by sliding the electromagnet inside the prongs. Complete with stylet, mirror & counterpoise
Dial 100mm in diameter, dial scale 960 to 1060mb (28-31 in x 0.10 in) figured in black, good quality movement mounted in a polished plastic frame 155mm diameter with glass in anodized bezel with lug for rear mounting.
Calorimeter With Wooden Box A complete set comprising the following : 1 copper calorimeter 75x50mm; 1 wooden outer box with felt lining 100x75mm approx.; 1 sliding wooden cover for outer box; 1 copper stirrer with loop to fit inside the copper calorimeter and thermometer holder made of brass, removable.
Cylindrical metal blocks of mass 1 kg; adjusted to accuracy of 2%. Each block drilled with two holes. A large central hole 12.5mm diameter for a special immersion heater & a smaller hole, 7.5mm diameter for a thermometer.
Demonstration Aneroid Barometer 100mm dial with movement encased in a transparent acrylic case suitable for full view of the movement allows the action to be demonstrated with the help of a rubber bellow. Complete with the bellow.
A glass tube of 6mm bore is contained in an enameled & lacquered brass case, mounted on a polished wooden board with plates for fixing to wall, open plate reflectors & ring & screws for vertical adjustment. The silvered scales, graduated in inches & mm are read by vernier moving by Rack & pinion to 1/200 in & 1/10mm & are enclosed in glass cylinder. A glass cylinder at the lower end of the barometer is provided with an ivory point to which the level of the mercury in the cistern is adjusted before readings are taken. A ring support & three locking screws at base of instrument provide a means of securing the barometer in a vertical positions. Fitted with thermometer with centigrade & Fahrenheit scale. Supplied without mercury but with instruction for filling the barometer.
