The prepared sample (for standard: 152.4 mm strips) is put in the upper opening. The strip is heated up to 177C between corrugated rotating discs, whereby the flute is formed and ejected at the lower opening.Using the included sample holder the self adhesive tape is applied to complete the sample preparation. Conventional equipment to flute samples of paper by rotating fluting rolls. Standard type “A” is supplied.

The Abrasion is only suitable to a certain extend for testing and comparing fillers and pigments with a rhombold structure.The rotary abrader now rotates independently of the mains frequency (50/60Hz) at a standard rotary velocity of 1800 rpm.
