Electric Resistance Welded sections (ERW) refers to cold-formed welded steel tubes used in construction of buildings, bridges, furniture, shelf, machinery & automotive applications. These sections are available in square, rectangular and round shapes depending on requirement. ERW sections are produced either from HR or CR coils depending on the thickness & surface finish requirements. These sections have excellent strength to weight ratios. Galvanized Pipes Pipes manufactured by Electric resistance welding are coated with zinc in a molten bath to provide corrosion resistance. These pipes are available in plain ends or as screwed & socketed. Fittings for this type of pipe are of galvanized malleable (soft) cast iron. Galvanized pipes are available in diameters from 12" with wall thickness as per BS 1367
