Air Entrainment Meter

Air Entrainment Meter
Used to determine air entrained in freshly mixed concrete by pressure method.
Consist of a pressure tight flanged cylindrical measuring bowl of 0.005 / 0.01 / 0.1 cubic meter capacity for maximum size of aggregate 38 / 75 / 150 mm. Fitted with a removable flanged conical cover assembly with the help of a seal. The conical cover has an air valve and a petcock for bleeding off the water. A transparent cylindrical standpipe, which is graduated in air content, is fixed to the conical cover assembly.
Pressure is applied to the specimen with the help of pressure bulb and the pressure is recorded on the pressure gauge, which is mounted on the standpipe. The whole assembly is mounted on a flat base.
Each apparatus is supplied complete with a pressure bulb or air pump, Calibration Cylinder with spring clamp, Pressure Gauge, Funnel, Trowel and Tamping bar, Straight Edge, Rubber Mallet and Measure.

BENKELMAN BEAM .

BENKELMAN BEAM .
This device was developed by U.S. Bureau of Public Roads and used to measure deflections of flexible pavements.

The lightweight instrument is supplied in two parts for assembling on site with easy hand tools. In use one end of the beam rests at a point under investigation, while the beam is pivoted at the centre. The other end is kept on a stable platform. The beam ratio is 2:1, which magnifies even small deflections. Supplied with a dial gauge of 0.01mm x 25 mm travel. This is a lightweight, dismantle able instrument, easy to carry.
