BD125X/2 Bowie-Dick Test Pack is a Type 2 chemical indicator test used to evaluate the performance of pre-vacuum steam sterilizers. It is specifically designed to check the efficiency of air removal and steam penetration inside the autoclave chamber. The pack contains a chemical indicator sheet that changes color uniformly when exposed to proper sterilization conditions. A complete and even color change indicates effective air removal and correct steam penetration, while uneven or incomplete color change indicates potential sterilizer malfunction such as air leaks or inadequate vacuum performance. It is widely used in hospitals, CSSD units, dental clinics, and laboratories for daily sterilizer monitoring and quality assurance. The test is typically performed at 134°C for about 3.5 minutes or as per validated cycle standards.
Rapid Biological Indicator is an advanced sterilization monitoring device used to quickly verify the effectiveness of sterilization processes such as steam, ETO, hydrogen peroxide plasma, and flash sterilization.
