The motorized potentiometers are classified depending on the type of voltage, motor, potentiometer, and mounting. The units are used in control systems to apply a command variable to automatic control equipment in the form of a variable reference input or set point signal. They can be operated remotely with the aid of push buttons. Two push buttons are used, one for "run-up" and the other for "run-down". The run-up & down durations can be changed; at any instant of time, depending on the model, these two durations can be different or a fixed value.
