Description & History: The flowers of Mimosa plant are fragile. Mimosa flowers are unusual and the plants are required to be kept at 25C along with a humidity of 85C so as to produce flowers. Mimosa, which is also known as sensitive plant, was initially introduced to Australia in the late 1800s. The first small saplings were imported to Europe by the famous British explorer, Captain James Cook in the 19th century. Quickly, it became the flower of choice for British members and Russian aristocracies. Mimosa absolute has mild floral notes.
