The processed oil is known for its odourless composition, characteristic colour and high stability against oxidation. The spent clay obtained is non-hazardous and can be disposed off in a normal landfill. This process is suitable for small capacity plants

Wiped Film & Thin Film Evaporation: The Wiped Film Evaporator is widely used world over for re-refining of used lubricating oil . This is supplied as a continuous or a semi continuous plant depending upon the capacity and the location of the plant .The minimum distance between the evaporating surface and the condenser coupled with short residence time makes this process one of the best in the market. The clay treatment process, regenerative clay process or solvent extraction can be used for the purpose of polishing the distilled product, which is obtained from evaporation process, into supreme grade base oil of different viscosities.
We hold expertise in offering NMP Extraction process to our valuable customers. This is our indigenously developed technology by continuous R&D. The distilled oil from either WFE or Vacuum distillation has to be polished to improve the viscosity index, Colour, Oxidation stability. The cleanest method of doing the same is extracting the distilled oil by NMP solvent and then separating and distilling the solvent from the oil and from the extract for reuse, the final traces of NMP in the oil and extract are removed by stripping.
The solvent extraction technology is the most preferred method of polishing for big capacity plants exceeding 1000LPH. This process is designed and supplied in both continuous and semi continuous manner depending upon the capacity of the plant. This process does not produce any solid waste, the solvent is recycled back and the extract left behind is used as fuel in the plant itself.
Hydro-treating / Hydro-processing process involves reaction of hydrogen-rich gas with lube oil distillates to produce API Group II + Group III oils , under calculated conditions of pressure and temperature in presence of metallic catalysts.

After the reactions are carried out in specially designed reactors, the high pressure gas is neutralized, cooled and recycled back to the reactors. Make-up hydrogen is added to compensate for reaction and solution losses. The oil (liquid) under high pressure is depressurized and contacted with steam to remove lighter naphtha-like fractions so as to meet specifications of volatility for the base oil product. The base oil product is cooled and sent to storage. The naphtha product is used as fuel in the process plant.
The off- gas containing H2S, mercaptan-like sulfurous compounds and very light hydrocarbons is sent to a thermal oxidizer/ flare . The mixture of naphtha, sour wash -water and condensed steam are collected in an oil-water separator. The sour water from the srubber , with dissolved H 2S and ammonia is stripped with steam. The overhead stream from the stripper, laden with H2S and ammonia is routed to the thermal oxidizer .

This technique is widely used for the process of highly effective recycling and refining of various used lubricating oil in various small scale plants with small recycling and refining capacities.
The distilled product, which is precisely obtained from this batch distillation process, can be refined into different viscosities of base oil. Different methods that can be used for the purpose of refining the distilled products are solvent extraction, regenerative clay process and clay treatment methods.
Lube Oil Blending Plant designed and supplied by Balaji Consultants are used for processing various grades of automotive and industrial lubricants.

In this plant the base oil and the various additives and blended under hot/ cold condition depending upon the grade of oil being formulated. Finally the filling of finished lube oils into containers of various sizes are carried out.
