Rabies Vet has Been prepared by inactivating Rabies virus (Pitman Moore strain) grown in VERO cell culture, with - propiolactone. It is avialable in liquid form adjuvanted with aluminium hydroxidde gel. Vaccine contains 2.5 I.U per dose/ml. Presentation: 1 ml, 5ml & 10 ml vials.

Bio Typh is a clear solution containing purified Vi capsular polysaccharide of Salmonella typhi for prevention of typhoid fever. It contains 25 mcg of Vi antigen per dose and is in liquid form.

Live, attenuated, freeze dried, 'BM' Strain Fowl pox 'BM' strain vaccine has been developed with the use of latest techniques used in the vaccine research. This is the world's best vaccine available today. It has been shown to be harmless and stress free even when given to one day old chicks and birds in lay. It offers solid immunity (95% protection) in vaccinated chicks under normal conditions. In areas prone to outbreak of fowl Pox disease two times vaccination (at 4-5 weeks and repeated at 14-15 weeks age) will in most cases completely assure protection against the disease. This vaccine contains live, attenuated Fowl Pox 'BM' Strain virus propagate in chick embryo skin cell cultures. The vaccine contains 102TCID50 of virus per dose. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : Primary : 4-5 weeks age. Booster : 14-16 weeks age In case of outbreak revaccinate chicks immediately with this vaccine. In unvaccinated lots, vaccinate twice at 7 days intervals. Outbreaks can be controlled within 15 days of vaccination. . ADMINISTRATION :Reconstitute 100 doses in 50 ml, 500 dose in 250 ml, 1000 doses in 500 ml diluent. Administer 0.5 ml intramuscularly into thigh region of chicks. PRESENTATION :100, 1000 dose vial. STORAGE : Store the vaccine at 20- 80C. Cool the diluent on ice one hour before start of vaccination. Always keep the reconstituted vaccine on ice during vaccination and use it within 2 hours

Live, Attenuated, Freeze Dried The vaccine contains live, attenuated at least 103.5 EID50 of Avian Infectious Bronchitis "Massachusetts strain" H-120 per dose. The virus is stabilized and freeze dried. The vaccine confers protection against Infectious Bronchitis disease. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : The vaccine is indicated for broiler, layer chicks, adult layers and breeders for prevention of Infectious Bronchitis disease. Vaccinate at the age of 1-5 days and repeat at 3-4 weeks. Two doses are protective upto 6-8 weeks for Broilers. For Layers vaccinate again at 13-15 weeks age. ADMINISTRATION :Vaccine is reconstituted in diluent (4 ml, 20 ml and 40 ml for 100, 500 and 1000 dose vials respectively) or Sterile Normal Saline (0.9% Sodium Chloride). The vaccine can be given in drinking water. Remove drinkers & clean them. Keep chicks thirsty for One Hour. Pour enough clean water in drinkers which can be consumed in one-two hours. Add reconstituted vaccine in appropriate volumes. Add 5 gm of dry milk powder to one litre of water to stabilize vaccine. Add water to drinkers as normally done after 80% of vaccine water is used. BOTO GENIE^® (Botulinum toxin Type A) is produced from fermentation of Clostridium botulinum type A and purification of purified neurotoxin complex. It has unique pharmacological properties as a neuromuscular blocking agent by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine resulting in partial, local, flaccid muscle paralysis, which helps to reduce some of the abnormal muscle contractions. The action of BOTO GENIE^® is reversible and can sustain partial chemical denervation for 3 to 6 months. Recovery of impulse transmission occurs gradually as new nerve terminals develop. One unit is defined as the median lethal intraperitoneal dose in mice estimated relative to the reference preparation assayed in parallel. The units of BOTO GENIE^® are product specific and not applicable to other preparations, due to specific testing method such as vehicle dilution scheme, laboratory protocols and difference in species sensitivities. The specific activity of BOTO GENIE^® is approximately 20 units/nanogram of purified neurotoxin complex.

Bio-Med manufactures and markets its Haemophilus Type b Conjugate Vaccine under the brand name Peda Hib™. The Vaccine confirms to Indian Pharmacopoeia. Peda Hib was launched in 2004 in India (the first Indian hib vaccine).

 

Peda Hib^TM - Haemophilus type b conjugate vaccine consisting of polysaccharide (PRP) of Haemophilus type b conjugated to Tetanus toxoid protein. This stimulates T-Cell dependent antibody synthesis in infants and young children with a booster response primarily of IgG class of antibodies. Aluminium Hydroxide Gel Adjuvanted DESCRIPTION :The vaccine contains inactivated intermediate strain virus of Gumboro Disease. It is adjuvanted with Aluminium hydroxide gel (2 mg Aluminium per dose ). Minimum titer per dose (before inactivation) is kept at >106.5 TCID50 of Gumboro Disease 'Intermediate strain' virus. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : The vaccine is normally recommended for use in layers and breeders at the age of 16-17 weeks. Live, attenuated, freeze-dried, 'Intermediate' Strain. DESCRIPTION :The vaccine contains live, low passage Gumboro disease (Intermediate) strain virus propagated in SPF chicken embryo fibroblast cell culture and is available in freeze dried form. The vaccine contains102 TCID50 virus per dose. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : Vaccinate at 12-14 days age and repeat at 4 weeks age. ADMINISTRATION :Reconstitute 100 doses in 4 ml, 200 doses in 8 ml, 500 doses in 20 ml and 1000 doses in 40 ml, vaccine diluent . Give one drop orally or in nostril or in eye. PRESENTATION :100, 200, 500 and 1000 dose vials.STORAGE : Store the vaccine at 20- 80 C. Vaccine diluent can be stored at room temperature in cool area.

Rabies Veterinary Vaccine, I.P. Rabies is transmitted by bites of rabid dogs and other canines to all domesticated animals and man which in most cases results in deaths if not treated. Rabies Vet^™, is prepared by inactivating Rabies virus (Pitman Moore strain) grown in VERO cell culture, with ß-propiolactone. The vaccine is available in liquid form adjuvanted with aluminium hydroxide gel. Aluminium Hydroxide Gel Adjuvanted Black Quarter is a generalized infection of cattle caused by Clostridium chauvoei. It is characterized by emphysematous swelling of the muscles especially those of gluteal region. The incubation period is 1-5 days. The onset is sudden. The initial symptom is lameness with or without fever. Swellings at first are small, hot & painful. They may develop in the muscles of shoulder, hip, chest, back & flank. In a few hours, the swellings become extensive & crepitating. The general symptoms are complete anorexia, marked prostration, muscular tremors, congested mucosa, dyspnoea, rapid pulse & high fever. The death occurs within 12-48 hours. On incision of affected swollen part infiltration with discoloured serum with gas is found. This gives typical sweetish-sour smell. The muscles are emphysematous, dark or black, friable giving a spongy character. This vaccine is a of formalin-killed suspension Clostridium chauvoei culture adjuvanted with Aluminium hydroxide gel. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : The cattle should be vaccinated at least 15-20 days before the onset of seasonal outbreak. It requires about 14 days for the animal to develop full immunity. Immunity usually lasts for 4-6 months. Booster vaccination is required every six month or just before the seasonal outbreak. ADMINISTRATION :animal subcutaneously in lower neck region. PRESENTATION :50 dose vial.

Live, Attenuated, Freeze Dried DESCRIPTION :Ranikhet disease 'F' Strain is a lentogenic Strain. It is least stress causing vaccine virus strain in this class. It can be used at any age including birds in lay without any effect on laying as booster vaccine. The vaccine contains live attenuated Ranikhet disease 'F' strain virus propagated in SPF chicken eggs and is available in freeze dried form. The vaccine contains 106 EID50 virus per dose. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : Primary : . 1-7 days old chicks. . This vaccine can be given in cold drinking water for mass vaccination to provide booster immunity. ADMINISTRATION :Reconstitute 100 doses in 4 ml, 200 doses in 8 ml, 500 doses in 20 ml, 1000 doses in 40 ml, and 2000 doses in 80 ml using ice cooled vaccine diluents. (a) Oral or I/ Nasal, I/Ocular method. Vaccinate chicks by putting one drop in the month of the chick or by one drop in eye or in one nose. (b) By drinking water methods- The reconstituted vaccine is mixed in cold drinking water. Use enough water (for 1000 chicks use one litre water stabilized with 2 gm dry baby milk powder per day of age) which the chicks can drink in 1 to 2 hours. PRESENTATION :100, 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 dose vials. STORAGE : Store the vaccine at 20- 80C. Cool the diluent in ice one hour before start of vaccination. Aluminium Hydroxide Gel Adjuvanted DESCRIPTION :Ranikhet Disease Vaccine Inactivated / Killed is prepared by treating Ranikhet 'LaSota' strain virus with formalin & stabilized. It is adjuvanted with aluminium hydroxide gel (2 mg Aluminium per dose), minimum titer per dose (before inactivation) is kept at >108.6 EID50 of Ranikhet Disease LaSota strain virus. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : The vaccine is normally recommended for use in layers and breeders at the age of 16-17 weeks. ADMINISTRATION :The vaccine should be given intramuscularly in thigh region. The dose is 0.5 ml per bird. Younger chicks (4-5 days old) suffering from respiratory disease can be vaccinated with 0.25 ml/chick. PRESENTATION :1000 doses STORAGE : Store the vaccine at 20- 80C.

Attenuated, freeze dried DESCRIPTION : Ranikhet disease LaSota Strain is a Lentogenic strain. It is slightly more invassive than 'F' Strain. It is quite safe to 1-7 days old tender chicks including layers. It confers quite good immunity lasting for about 6 weeks. The vaccine contains 106 EID50 units of Ranikhet disease LaSota Strain virus per dose propogated in SPF eggs. VACCINATION SCHEDULE : Primary : Chicks should be vaccinated at 1-3 weeks age. Booster : As per advice of doctor. ADMINISTRATION : Reconstitute 200 doses in 8 ml, 500 doses in 20 ml, 1000 doses in 40 ml, 2000 doses in 80 ml and 5000 doses in 200 ml diluent. Give 1 drop orally or in nostril or in eye or by drinking water method ( as in case of F strain ). PRESENTATION : 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 dose vials. STORAGE : Store the vaccine at 20- 80C. Cool the diluent in ice one hour before start of vaccination. Always keep the reconstituted vaccine on ice during vaccination and use it within 2 hours.

This vaccine is manufactured by growing sheep pox virus in Lamb testes cells. This vaccine contains attenuated virus in freeze dried form. The vaccine has been found to cause minimal reaction at the site of injection and mild systemic reaction. The immunity conferred by this vaccine is solid (around 95%) lasting over one year.

Poliomyelitis Vaccine, Live (ORAL) I.P. DI-VALENT (bivalent/b-OPV) (Type 1 and Type 3) :The Live Oral Polio Vaccine is a Di-valent (bivalent/b-OPV) vaccine containing mixture of type 1 and type 3 attenuated poliomyelitis viruses (Sabin strains) propagated in primary monkey kidney cells. Each dose contains an estimated mean virus titre of not less than 106.0 CCID50 for type 1, 105.8 CCID50 for type 3. 1M Mgcl2 is used as a stabilizer, Kanamycin 20 mcg per dose is added as preservative. Oral Polio vaccine is a clear liquid which have a faint yellowish to reddish colour. The colour is due to presence of phenol red indicator. The vaccine tends to shift towards yellowish colour at lower temperatures & frozen state, however this does not affect the quality of vaccine. Oral Polio Vaccine bulk used in manufacture is imported from W.H.O. prequalified supplier. Di-valent (bivalent/b-OPV) (Type 1 and Type 3) is indicated for active immunization against Type 1 and Type 3 Polio viruses.

VACCINATION SCHEDULE : The vaccine is indicated in young healthy chicks (both broiler and layers) at the age of 4-7 days and repeated at 6-8 weelds and 16-18 weeks. It can be given to chicks at any age if there is prevalence of infectious Bronchitis or Rankihet disease in the area.
