Our Products
Our product range contains a wide range of Ultra Violet and White Light Transilluminator - Lab Equipment, serum inspissator - Laboratory Equipment and Prime gel documentation system - Laboratory Equipment
Zenithtransilluminators feature special glass filters that block all visible light and only pass ultraviolet rays of the designated wavelength. This ensures clear and distinct observation of gels placed on the transilluminator, with nearly no visible light.
The top of the transilluminator is made from brushed stainless steel, that's easy to clean and rust-proof.
A comparison was done between the performance of our transilluminator and a European transilluminator. The same EtBr-stained gel was viewed and photographed in our transilluminator and then immediately again (so that the lighter bands did not diffuse) on a famous European-brand transilluminator. The camera settings were the same and transilluminators intensity set at maximum in both transilluminators. Post processing involved cropping & pasting the gel images together and the text annotations shown in image above. No processing was done to deliberately lighten the bands in the European-brand transilluminator. This comparison was done at a large biotech company in Bangalore (India) that had access to both our and the other transilluminator.
Clearly, our transilluminators perform better than the European brand despite being much less in price.

| ZENITH-INSPI series serum inspissators (media coagulators) provide valuable resource to tuberculosis detection and treatment labs. Media containers, bottles, petri dishes, tubes with culture medium can be inspissated quickly and effectively in large batches. Two different models of our inspissators (INSPI-MAX and INSPI-S) are capable of inspissating from 170 to over 700 McCartney bottles in a single load. The INSPI-MAX has three trays that can load anywhere from 250 to 700 bottles during one run and has been designed for repositories and hospitals which handle large samples. For smaller labs, INSPI-S can inspissate up to 170 bottles in one load. | |
| Zenith serum inspissators are low cost units and have been designed in collaboration with National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra, Indian Council of Medical Research, which is a Government of India research organisation. The institute is at the forefront of tuberculosis research in India. Instrument usage reference can be had from Dr. Vishwa Mohan Katoch, Secretary, Department of Health, Government of India. | |
Inspissator is built of rust-proof stainless steel sheet.
Inside chamber, body and water bath made of stainless steel.
Inside chamber: 25 (width) x 21 (depth) x 32 (height).
Outside body: 29 x 25 x 52. With heavy duty roller wheels.
Inside the inspissator three stainless steel wired trays are provided to hold media bottles. These trays are removable from main unit for easy loading of media bottles. Trays are positioned at an angle of 20 degree approx. to provide slope to media.
Inspissating capacity of the inspissator for 3 x 1 (approx. size) of McCartney media bottles is about 450 bottles in three trays with single layer of bottles in each tray. Capacity can be increased to 600 by loading more bottles in each tray in two-three layers. Bottles are at angle of about 20 degree.
Each inspissator has two water heaters: 1.5 kW each (total 3 kW) running at 220VAC, 50Hz.
Two spare heaters are additionally provided for emergency use in case of failure of one of the working heaters during the working of the inspissator.
Temperature range of the serum inspissator is from 5 C above ambient temperature to 95 C. Temperature is settable by the user. Accuracy of inner temperature is better than 2 C. Least count of controller is 1 C. Sensor used is Pt100.
Inspissator is built of rust-proof stainless steel sheet. Outer body and tray are made of stainless steel. Tray size: 31 x 24 (80x60cm). Outer body: 41 x 26 x 16 (104x65x40cm)
In the inspissator a single tray of stainless steel is immersed in water such that the water just touches the bottom of the tray.
The tray has a set of slopes to provide an angle of 8-10 degree to the media containers. Water temperature is maintained through a heater and stirrer.
The tray also heats up to the water temperature and temperature uniformity is maintained in the water, tray and media containers. The total heat up time is less than 2.5 hours.
For user and operation safety, we provide fixed cut-out fuse and miniature circuit breaker at the back of the controller unit of the inspissator.
The controller is digital, with an LED/LCD display to indicate set and actual temperature. User input is taken through a dial and button.
Resolution is 0.1C, uniformity is better than 0.5C and working temperature is 85C.
Temperature range for the inspissator controller is from 0C to 100C. The controller is a composite unit of 1.5kW heater, controller, sensor and stirrer. It is easily removable for servicing.
We also provide spare heaters along with the serum inspissator for emergency use in case of failure of the working heater during usage.
A constant water level setup ensures that the heaters never run dry and that evaporation losses are compensated. Tank capacity is about 50 litres
One of the easiest to use systems for gel documentation and electrophoretic imaging applications, theGel.PRIMEstands alone to provide the lowest cost yet high quality scientific gel visualization and analysis digital system for classrooms and labs.
TheGel.PRIMEgel doc system offers reproducible, high-resolution digital images for gel documentation and imaging.Gel.PRIMEis ideal if you have a limited budget because we have a lot of options for you. Purchase the basic system with the camera, transilluminator, darkroom hood and later add a printer or gel analysis software as the need arises.
Featuring a 12 megapixel digital camera, the camera connects to a PC through a USB and can be controlled from the PC. Ultraviolet transillumination can be provided in 254nm, 312nm or 365nm ranges. Filter size of transilluminator is 20x20 cm. Maximum gel size that can be captured is 16x20 cm.
The transilluminator can be used separately too, in case the user just wants to observe the gel.
| How the Gel Documentation System works A transilluminator and a removable, light-weight hood with camera is supplied. The camera is mounted on top of the hood. Simply put the gel on the transilluminator and then place the hood over the transilluminator. Switch on the transilluminator and the camera. View the gel on the camera built-in LCD or connect the camera to a PC using USB to get a real-time live view image of the gel. Adjust camera settings (like shutter speed, aperture, focus) directly on the camera or using the provided gel capture software that controls the camera from the PC. Click your images and save them on the PC. With the optional 1D gel analysis software, you can analyse the gels. | |||||
