Microcontroller Tachogenerator

The electronic Microcontroller Tachogenerators have been developed for use in process control and measurement of motor speed, in order to eliminate the shortcomings of electromagnetic tacogeradores as loss of linearity, the output ripple due to arcing in brushes and periodic maintenance. The Microcontroller Tachogenerator is a device based on optical sensors with an encoder that replaces traditional tacogeradores with the advantages, including allowing maintenance in general character to be fully electronic, and therefore its life prolonged. The encoder generates two square wave signals 90o out of phase with each other and whose frequency is proportional to spindle speed and the number of pulse their optical disc. These square wave signals are transmitted to the electronic circuit, "inverter/voltage microcontroller", which converts the signals in a frequency proportional voltage output. The pulses are measured by digital tachometer scale with internal programmed by software, with indicated RPM, MPM or others. The Microcontroller Tachogenerator is installed directly on the shaft of the machine and can be supplied with the same voltage specifications, fastening, sealing and robustness of the original tachogenerator.
