The encoder generates two square wave signals 90^o out of phase with each other and whose frequency is proportional to spindle speed and the number of pulse their optical disc. These square wave signals are transmitted to the electronic circuit, "inverter/voltage microcontroller", which converts the signals in a frequency proportional voltage output. The pulses are measured by digital tachometer scale with internal programmed by software, with indicated RPM, MPM or others.
