Lead Ball Casting Machine

Lead Ball Casting Machine is used for the casting of Refined Lead Metal Balls of approximately 150 to 300 Grams. Refined Lead Balls are generally required to feed in the Lead Sub Oxide Ball Mill as a raw material. Molten Refined Lead is discharged from the bottom of the pot through a metal discharging valve directly on top of the Lead Ball Casting Wheel (C.I. Casted). A conical Funnel is fixed at the top of the Caster Wheel from which liquid Lead is poured into the small pockets holes, drilled on the caster wheel. The Caster Wheel continuously keeps rotating at a very slow speed with the help of a driving system (Gear Box & Motor). The Lead Balls casted are thrown out from the caster wheel by Pins fixed in the wheel. These Pins are pulled up with a spring at a particular position due to which the Lead Balls are thrown out from the whole and the pocket (hole) is made empty for another round. The process is done continuously till all of the material from the pot is discharged. We manufacture very durable & maintenance free Lead Ball Casting Machine for the purpose. Lead Refining Kettle

Lead is refined with a minimum purity of 99.97% for the further utilization. CGIT provide Lead Refining Kettle Furnaces of various capacities ranging from 5 tons to 50 tons per batch. The emission and smoke / Gases exhausted from the kettle are passed through a hygienic hood, further connected to the wet scrubber, chimney and suction blower through pipe ducts. Lead Refining process is done by melting Crud Lead Ingots in a Refining Kettle duly heated by either LPG Burner or Furnace Oil Burner. The temperature is raised approximately up to 327C to 650C. The chemical reactions are then made by the adding of specific reagents into the molten Lead at proper temperatures. These chemical reagents help to remove the impurities present in the crud lead. Generally Copper (Cu) is the first element which is removed in the form of Copper Sulphide by adding Sulphur. The temperature is raised up to 450C and required amount of Sulphur is added in the Kettle which removes all most all of the Copper. Once again some amount of Sulphur is added to remove the remaining Copper if required until no more reaction takes place. The second step is taken to remove Tin (Sn) in the form of Tin Chloride by adding Chlorine or Ammonium Chloride at a temperature of 500C. Thereafter temperature is again raised up to 550C to remove Arsenic (As) and Antimony (Sb) by oxidation process or adding a mixture of Sodium Nitrate & Sodium Hydroxide. After removing all the impurities from molten Lead the final Lead Sample is examined to discharge it either manual Ingot Casting or on automatic Lead Ingot Castor Machine with a capacity of 10 to 20 metric tons / hour.

Rotary Smelting Furnace

The Lead Smelting Rotary Furnace is a mechanized furnace, Round Shell with both ends conical. Conical ends are open on both the sides. Rotary Furnace works in a batch process. Raw material is charged from one end along with certain chemical and additives like coke breeze, cast iron chips, soda ash etc. Rotary Smelting Furnace that we provide is designed by the experts using the latest production techniques. Rotary Smelting Furnace is heated with the help of Burner which uses oil or gas as a fuel. The Furnace is heated continuously and also kept rotating at very low speed of up to 1 to 1.5 RPM. Rotary Furnace rotates with the help of tyres around the furnace shell mounted on four roller wheels. These Roller wheels are fixed on a MS structure frame duly fitted in Bearing & Bearing Blocks. Wheels are driven first with the help of Electric motor coupled with Speed Reduction Gear Box & driving shafts, which rotates the furnace shell also. Furnace Shell is lined with CFK or HFK Insulation Bricks and High Alumina 70% refractory fire bricks. Both conical ends of the furnace are open. The front end of the furnace is used for the charging of raw material as well as heating with the movable burner. Burner is shifted aside at the time of charging raw material along with additives & then again moved at the mouth of the furnace for heating & melting of the scrap. Furnace is rotated for the proper mixing and reaction of the additives and as the Lead metal in molten state occurs, it is discharged into the moulds from the Taping Hole provided at centre of the furnace. After draining the Furnace of the first batch, production of next batch is undertaken and the Furnace is again charged with raw material. After three such batches, one batch of slag collected in Rotary Furnace is executed. Processing in the furnace is done at high temperatures and therefore it is operated continuously for long periods of time. It is used for production of large quantities and need skilful handling & maintenance. The smoke & gases are exhausted from the back conical end of the furnace attached with connecting duct to the Air Pollution Control System.
