Its shape can be block, sheet, clavate or granulous. The liquid caustic soda is white or light blue transparency liquid. The solid caustic soda is of strong hygroscopicity. It is soluble in water, ethanol and glycerol but not soluble in acetone and ethyl ether. When dissolved in the water, it will release heat. Its water solution is alkali and soapy. Application 1.
