Trend is moving towards using ABC cables in place of underground cable in power distribution network. ABC are much lighter, economically feasible and higher current rating of at least 10 % more than underground armoured cables. ABC are either Low Tension or High Tension Grade. ABC aluminium conductors are mainly XLPE insulated and each core are twisted round a aluminium alloy bare stranded conductors called MESSENGER. The Messenger conductor facilitates suspension of the cable on hooks and clamps in street lighting poles.

Crystal Cable Industries Ltd. is an ISO-9001 organization manufacturing different types of Electrical Cables for more than 30 years in its factory situated at Andul Road, about 20 kms away from Kolkata.

Our manufacturing unit is equipped with latest machinery and testing equipments, mostly from Germany, Italy, Belgium & USA, which are handled by a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals to cater to the need of manufacturing quality products. The Company's present manufacturing range includes the following products:
1. HT XLPE Cables upto & including 33 KV grade, by DRY CURE (Nitrogen Gas) process in CCV line.
2. LT XLPE Cables upto & including 1.1 KV grade.
3. HT XLPE Aerial Bunched Cables upto & including 33 KV grade.
4. LT Aerial Bunched Cables upto & including 1.1 KV grade.
5. PVC / HR PVC, FRLS / NON FRLS Power Cables upto 1000 sq mm upto & including 1.1 KV grade.
6. PVC / HR PVC, FRLS / NON FRLS Control Cables upto 61 cores upto & including 1.1 KV grade.

IS : 14255, IEC : 502, BS : 6622, BS : 6346, BS : 5467, etc.
The quality of raw materials, in-process quality & the quality of finished products are continuously monitored by our Quality Assurance Department as per relevant Quality Assurance Plan & Specifications.
The Technical Services Wing of factory is fully equipped to provide the latest technical informations and also to render all sorts of after sales service to cater to the needs of its esteemed customers towards the selection, installation and maintenance of cables.
Our Research & Development Wing is handled by a group of qualified & experienced Engineers who have developed in house FRLS compound. Continuous value engineering, energy conservation & wastage minimization programme are the significant areas of focus of our factory.
Besides the above, our Company has successfully type tested PVC & XLPE Cables at Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) and Electrical Research & Development Association (ERDA). Since the Company's sophisticated, precision controlled, Triple Extrusion plant is capable of manufacturing upto 33 KV XLPE Cable our Company is planning to increase the manufacturing range to 132 KV XLPE cables in the near future
