Nitrile rubber (NBR, Buna-N) is a synthetic rubber product manufactured by emulsion-polymerizing acrylonitrile and butadiene in low temperature. Nitrile rubber provides excellent resistance to petroleum oils as well as mineral and vegetable oil. Nitrile rubber also offers strong resistance to heat aging - often a key advantage over natural rubber, which can harden and loseits damping capability.
