Neoprene (also polychloroprene or pc-rubber) is a family of synthetic rubbers that are produced by polymerization of chloroprene. Neoprene exhibits good chemical stability and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range.
Nitrile rubber (NBR, Buna-N) is a synthetic rubber product manufactured by emulsion-polymerizing acrylonitrile and butadiene in low temperature. Nitrile rubber provides excellent resistance to petroleum oils as well as mineral and vegetable oil. Nitrile rubber also offers strong resistance to heat aging - often a key advantage over natural rubber, which can harden and loseits damping capability. Nitrile rubber is also a great material choice for applications that require abrasion resistance and metal adhesion.
