Eastern Anticorrosives Ltd. was set up in 1983 as a small scale sector company in Asansol, West Bengal. Mr.Lalit Prasad Gupta was the sole proprietor of the company then. In spite of holding an engineering degree from a reputed college and good job offers, Mr.Gupta decided to go for Entrepreneurship and serve the crucial power and communication sector of the country.
In 1983, Eastern Anticorrosives Ltd. Clocked a turnover of Rs.20 Lakhs and processed about 300 MT per annum of steel material for the cable sector. The innovative spirit of the company, high quality of products and its competitive prices, made EAL a star company for cable producers and big names like Hindustan Cables, Birla TeleLink, Delton Cables, Nicco Cables etc became regulars for the company.EAL client’s list includes some of the biggest names in India like BSNL and MTNL.
Today EAL has an impressive turnover, producing 8000 MT of value added steel products per annum and most important, are exporting 90 % of its products. International Customers include companies from Egypt, Turkey, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh,U.A.E. etc.
