Emulsifiers Oil

An Emulsifiers is a substance which stabilizes an emulsion by increasing its kinetic stability. One class of emulsifiers is known as surface active substances, or surfactants. Examples of food emulsifiers are egg yolk, honey, and mustard, where a variety of chemicals in the mucilage surrounding the seed hull act as emulsifiers; proteins and low-molecular weight emulsifiers are common as well. Soy lecithin is another emulsifiers and thickener. In some cases, particles can stabilize emulsions as well through a mechanism called Pickering stabilization. Both mayonnaise and Hollandaise sauce are oil-in-water emulsions that are stabilized with egg yolk lecithin or other types of food additives such as Sodium stearoyl lactylate.

Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly

Introduction of Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly :
Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly, petrolatum or soft paraffin, is a semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons, originally promoted as a topical ointment for its healing properties. Petroleum jelly is a flammable, semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons, having a melting-point usually within a few degrees of 75C. It is colorless, or of a pale yellow color , translucent, and devoid of taste and smell when pure. White petroleum jelly is a non-polar hydrocarbon hydrophobic and insoluble in water, glycerol (not a hydrocarbon but an alcohol) is the opposite: petroleum jelly is so strongly hydrophilic that by continuous absorption of moisture from the air, it produces the feeling of wetness on the skin, similar to the greasiness produced by petroleum jelly. The feeling is similar, but white petroleum jelly repels water, and glycerine attracts it.

Application of Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly :
Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly is a useful material when incorporated into candle wax formulas. The Petroleum Jelly softens the overall blend, allows the candle to incorporate additional fragrance oil, and facilitates adhesion to the sidewall of glass. Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly was formerly used as a way to pitch a spitball in baseball.Petroleum jelly is used to moisten plasticine, as part of a mix of hydrocarbons including greater (paraffin wax) and lesser (mineral oil) molecular weights.

Introduction of Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly :Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly, petrolatum or soft paraffin, is a semi-solid mixture of hydrocarbons, originally promoted as a topical ointment for its healing properties.
Application of Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly :Petroleum Jelly / White Petroleum Jelly is a useful material when incorporated into candle wax formulas.
