Metal Tube Rotameter
"MT" series Rotameters are all Metal Variable Area Type Flow Meter designed to measure flow rate of liquids and gases under critical conditions. It consists of a tapered metal tube, an indicating assembly and float. A magnet encapsulated in float couples with rotating magnets connected to an indicating pointer as show in figure. Thus the movement of the float, is accurately indicated in terms of flowrate.

Glass Tube Rotameter
Eureka Variable Area Flow Meters (Rotameters) work on the principle of Variable Area. The float moves freely up and down in thetapered borosilicate glasstube with fluid flow from bottom to top. The float takes up a position where buoyancy forces and the floatweight are balanced in proportion to flow rate. The vertical position of the float as indicated by scale is the measure of theinstantaneousflow rate
