Contact SupplierCarnauba wax occurs as hard, brittle substances with a resinous fracture and a color ranging from dark green to pale brown. It is purified wax obtained from the leaf buds and leaves of the Brazilian palm copernicia cerifera (Arruda) mart. Its specific gravity is about 0.997. It is soluble in alcohol, chloroform and ether; but is insoluble in. water.
