Ferro Silicon

Ferro Silicon is an alloy of Iron and Silicon with 15-90% Silicon. Ferro Silicon is produced by reduction of silica or sand with coke in presence of scrap iron, millscale or other source of iron.
Ferro Silicon is used to remove oxygen from the steel and as alloying element to improve the final quality of the steel. Silicon increases mainely strength and wear resistance, elasticity (spring steels), scale resistance (heat resistant steels), and lowers electrical conductivity and magnetostriction (electrical steels). Ferro Silicon with Low (Aluminium & Carbon ) is used in the production of special steel qualities for transformers and motors, ball bearings and shock absorbers, tyre cord steel and in stainless steel.

Ferro Vanadium

Ferro Vanadium is a key component in the production of carbon steel used for infrastructure. When added to crude steel, Ferro Vanadium creates a product that is lightweight and extremely high in tensile strength and wear resistance.
Ferro Vanadium is available in alloys containing 40%, 60% or 80% vanadium. The 60% and 80% grades are mostly produced by the aluminothermic reduction of Vanadium oxides in the presence of steel scrap or by direct reduction in an electric furnace. The 40% grade is produced from slag and other Vanadium products by the Silicon reduction process.

Ferro Titanium

Ferro Titanium alloy is a ferro alloy, an alloy of iron and titanium with between 30-50, 60-75 % titanium. It is produed by using Titanium Scarp & low carbon iron scrap. The main applications of Ferro Titanium are as.

  • Cleansing AgentFerro Titanium is highly reactive with sulfur, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, forming insoluble compoundsand sequestering them in slag, and is therefore used for deoxidizing, desulfurization and denitrification.
  • Grain RefinerFerro Titanium promotes finer grain structures with the steel matrix. This can improve malleability in carbon steels, thereby increasing its versatility.

The main first uses of steel that requires Ferro Titanium is steel that is produced for the Automotive and construction industries

Ferro Niobium

Ferro Niobium is an alloy, which is formed by combining Iron and Niobium with a Niobium content range of 60-70%. As Ferro Niobium can effectively double the strength and toughness, as well as reduce the weight of the alloy, it is a highly desirable compound.

Ferro Niobium is an additive to the production process of amorphous metals, and will impart several desirable properties upon the resulting compound. One of the primary benefits of adding Ferro Niobium to an alloy is its anti-corrosive properties (better than carbon steel). Additionally, the adding of Ferro Niobium to an alloy can make it more weldable and much stronger.

Ferro Niobium is the number one alloying agent used for high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel. This steel is then in turn used in automobiles and trucks, bridges, construction cranes, amusement park rides and any other structure that needs to handle a large amount of stress or needs a good strength-to-weight ratio. But other uses of Ferro Niobium are also common. It is used in vacuum-grade products for super alloy applications such as land-based and jet aircraft engine turbine blades. We are offering Ferro Niobium as.

Lead Metal

Lead (chemical symbol - Pb) is very corrosion-resistant, ductile and malleable blue-grey metal that has been in use for at least 5, 000 years. It is one of the most sustainable and recyclable commodities.
It can be recycled indefinitely, without loss of its physical or chemical properties. Recycled lead accounts for more than 60% of the total lead production.
Lead is used to link tanks that store corrosive liquids and as a covering on some wires and cables to protect them from corrosion.
Leads high density makes it useful as a shield against X ray and gamma ray radiation.
Most of the Lead is used in the production on lead acid storage batteries.

Bismuth Metal

Bismuth is a white, crystalline, brittle metal. It is the most diamagnetic of all metals, and the thermal conductivity is lower than any metal, except mercury. It has a high electrical resistance and when placed in a magnetic field, it has the greatest electrical resistance of any metal. Bismuth melts at low temperature (271.3C) and one of its most unusual characteristics is that its volume expands when it solidifies. Pure Bismuth's brittleness makes it ineffective in metallurgical applications, however, small amounts are used as additives in copper, aluminum, iron and steel to toughen and make alloys that are more machineable.
