Product Overview

Ferro Calcium Silicon alloy is composite alloy which is composed of Si, Ca and Fe. It is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful.

In addition, Ferro Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility and impact properties of the final product.

Application

It is not only widely used in the production of quality steel, low carbon steel and stainless steel but also in nickel-based alloy, titanium-based alloy and other special alloy.
It is suitable for warming agent in converter steel making plant.
It can be also used as inoculants in casting and as additive in the production of ductile iron.
It can improve fluidity and preventing the clogging of the tundish valves in continuous casting and improve mechanical properties of steel such as machinability, drawability, forgeability, casting, welding and surface quality.
