EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION
The furnace is a robust fabricated steel shell, engineered for melting of foundry return and ingots. The molten metal is accumulated in a holding bath which is connected to baleout chamber from where the molten metal can be taken out either manually or through auto ladle of the machine. The furnace has a wide main door to facilitate loading of charge and furnace cleaning. The furnace doors are strong and properly sealed. The location of burner allows most of the heat generated to be utilised for holding and melting application. The furnace is equipped with drain out plug arrangement to enable emptying out of the furnace in case of emergency or alloy change. The auto charging can be supplied as an option.
REFRACTORY LINING

CONSTRUCTION

FURNTECKs crucible melting furnaces are of steel fabricated construction using plate and rolled sections. The furnace is lined with high temperature rated refractory, backed with calcium silicate insulating board.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Standard temperature control is by sensing Molten metal temperature through immersion thermocouple in a protective sheath which is shown on a digital display.
BURNER
The two stage packaged type burner is complete with built in fan, flame safety controls and electric ignition. The burner, when not operating, is protected against radiant heat from refractory by a thermostat activating the fan to maintain burner internals within acceptable temperature limits.
ELECTRIC RESISTANCE HEATING
Banks of electrical heating elements of nickel chrome alloy fitted in high quality bricks will be provided around the furnace. Option of silicon carbide heaters can be supplied and heaters can be replaced without removal of crucible.
