These furnaces are suitable for HPDC / GDC shops where production rates are very low or metal quality is extremely crucial and only electric melting is requires. Being Batch type indirectly heatedfurnaces , the furnaces have comparatively higher energy consumption. Recurring cost of CRUCIBLE is also one of the concern since it drastically affects production in case of sudden failure.

Distinct benefits of FURNTECK’s CUCIBLE TYPE MELTING FURNACE
1.Several options of heating systems available( Electrically heated / Fuel fired ).
2.Electrically heated system is equipped with verticle coil type heaters which can be removed and replaced without cooling down the furnace
3.Superior insulation ensures higher thermal efficiency.
4.Metal tapping is possible through Direct Baleout / HYDRAULIC LIP TILTING.
 
CONSTRUCTION

FURNTECK’s crucible melting furnaces are of steel fabricated construction using plate and rolled sections. The furnace is lined with high temperature rated refractory, backed with calcium silicate insulating board.
 
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Standard temperature control is by sensing Molten metal temperature through immersion thermocouple in a protective sheath which is shown on a digital display.
 
BURNER
The two stage packaged type burner is complete with built in fan, flame safety controls and electric ignition. The burner, when not operating, is protected against radiant heat from refractory by a thermostat activating the fan to maintain burner internals within acceptable temperature limits.
 
ELECTRIC RESISTANCE HEATING
Banks of electrical heating elements of nickel chrome alloy fitted in high quality bricks will be provided around the furnace. Option of silicon carbide heaters can be supplied and heaters can be replaced without removal of crucible.

Capacity : 200kg/Batch to 1000Kg/Batch

Metal Tapping : By Direct Bale out or Hydraulically Tilting mechanism.
Fuel : ELECTRICALLY heated or with LDO/FO/HSD/LPG/Propane
