The shine on stone surface comes from polishing bricks and powders used during fabrication and not from any coating. Polishing can be done only on crystallized stones and doesn't affect the porosity of the stone. Polished finish is quite popular as it enhances the colour and markings of the material. This finish is secondary finish done on natural, sandblasted, shot blasted and flamed stone surfaces. It is generally used for walls, gate entries, patios, landscape design applications, etc.

Tumbling is a process of providing vintage and rivened surface to stone. Tumbling is usually done on natural finished stone to creates an uneven, natural looking rounded edge, as well as a textured surface. It is generally used for walls, patios, landscape design applications, etc
