Borosilicate glass pipeline components find universal application throughout the worlds chemical, pharmaceutical, food and drink and allied industries where the advantage of using glass as a basis for the construction of complete process systems have long been recognized:

For standard flat buttress end connections from DN25 to DN300, it is possible to achieve a 3 deflection in the joint by using a flexible gasket. Details of these and all other couplings and gasket can be found in section Couplings.

The pipeline components described in this section of the catalogue comply, which means that 90 bends, tee pieces and equal crosses are interchangeable.

wo types of inserts are used depending upon the type of buttress ends and the backing flange.

1. Type A : For tapered buttress ends, asbestos gasket arcs are used for fitting between the tapered end and the flange.

2. Type B : For collared buttress ends, Cast iron split rings with thin asbestos rope are used & as backing rings between collar and the flange.

These flanges are used to couple a glass ends to glass ends or to a below.Backing flanges are made up of cast iron and are used with inserts.They can normally be supplied in various grades of stainless steel on special order.

These joints give excellent performance when the glass and metal tapers are perfectly matched with full concentricity and when the alignment is perfect. In case of sight imperfection, there is a chance of excessive stresses and breakage of glass neck. Secondly, because of the taper fit, the glass to flange joint is mechanically locked and it is difficult to change flanges.

we give another type of end which we call collared buttress end. This is similar to stub ends used in copper and stainless steel piping. The collar is backed by an asbestos rope, a metal split ring and a metal backing flange. This type of joint is very strong and has flexibility in case of slight misalignment. The overall dimensions of this type of end are kept same as those of tapered end. Hence it is easy top interchange these types of ends; and even fixing tapered end with collared end is possible.

Normally any process industry requires measurement, monitoring and control of various process parameters such as temperatures, pressure, flow etc.

DIGITAL TEMPERATURE INDICATORS

These are resistance temperature detectors with PT100 sensor. The display is digital LED display with 31/2 digit output and resolution of 0.1 o C. There are available with total range 0-999.9 o C. Flame proof and none two point controllers are also available. One point and two point controllers are also available for annunciation or for on/off controls.

Available in two different sizes, these Cages provide excellent shelter for different animal species in the laboratory. The metallic top provides proper ventilation and has provisions for feeding the species.

Adding in line with the existing range, these Animal Cages are provided with a Stainless Steel grill at the bottom of the cage to provide a dean surface for the species to move on.

GSGI Kipps Apparatus made of Polyethylene has three main portions. The top portion is fitted with a thistle funnel and a bulb structure through which dilute acid can be poured which reacts with a metal sulphide in the base of the Apparatus. l-lS gas then evolved collects in the middle dome from where it can be released through a leakproof stopcock fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug The base is provided with a residual outlet fitted with a cap for easy cleaning.

These long stem funnels have smooth waIls, 600 cone angle and external ribs to prevent air lock. Moulded in Polypropylene, these clear funnels can also be steam autoclaved.

Moulded in Polypropylene, these two piece funnels are lightweight, easy to clean & autoclavabic. The top portion can be snap fitted with the lower one forming a vaccum seal which does not require greasing The base of the top portion has a perforated filter plate.

Designed specifically for analytical chemistry, the body of the funnels is 6O. Moulded in P1, these funnels are provided with internal & external ribs to prevent air blockage.

MCT Boxes are moulded in polycarbonate and are therefore strong as veil as autoclavable. One size can hold 64 MCTs of 1.5 ml. & the other can hold 100 MCTs of 0.5 ml. These boxes are designed to work at temperatures ranging from -190C to +121C. The transparent cover provides a good view of the contents inside & is numbered for better inventory control.

These containers, as the name suggests, are used for collecting stool samples. The cap is provided with a spoon like structure that proves helpful in lifting samples.

These polypropylene tubes provide excellent aption for MA, coagulation & bacteriology etc. The cap in screwed on to the tube & hence this tube can be filled up to the brim.

These unbreakable vials, moulded in Polyethylene, are fitted with leakproof screw caps. These vials can be used with standard counting equipment for liquid scintillation system and are excellent for low activity count.

Cryo vials are normally used for storage of Biological material, human & animal cells at temperature as low as -190C. These sterilized tubes are provided with white, prominent graduations and a long marking area for sample identification. The cap of these vials is provided with a seal ring inside to make it completely leak proof. The longitudinal grooves in the base give a non-twisting feature to these vials when placed in a cryo rack.

These Coders available in different colours can easily fit into the cap of cryo vials for colour identification of different samples.

Polylab Cryo Boxes are moulded in Polycarbonate making it extra strong and autoclavable. These can accommodate Cryo Vials of up to 4.5 nil, capacity and are designed to be used at temperatures ranging from -190C to
+121C. The transparent cover of the box gives a good view of the contents inside and is numbered for better inventory control.

These unique boxes are moulded in Polypropylene and are therefore autoclavable. The Box itself is dear providing an excellent view of the tips inside while a table like structure is provided inside to hold the tips. The tip holding spaces are uniformly placed to facilitate the use of multi channel pipettes. The cover is joined to the base through ball catcher hinges and provides excellent protection to the tips.

This stand, as the name suggests, is used for keeping nestler cylinders. Made of polypropylene, this stand is available in two sizes, one for SOml nestler cylinder & other for lOOmL nestler cylinder.

These handy jugs, moulded in Polypropylene, are clear, autoclavable and have good chemical resistance. These Jugs are provided with a handle for easy & convenient lifting and have raised graduations for easy reading.

Adding to the existing range of GSI Jugs, these short form transparent jugs, made of polypropylene are autoclavable and have non- drip spout. These jugs have raised graduations, provide excellent contact clarity & are provided with excellent thumb grip on handle.

One sight glass consists of a glass pipe section, one metal frame, one pair of teflon bush and washers.( Metal frame can be made of MS/SS 304/SS 316)

Glass pipe section is made from borosilicate glass which is highly heat resistant and has low thermal expansion and excellent chemical durability. This pipe section is flared at both ends to increase its compressive strength as well as to ensure of leak proof fitting in metal frame.

Metal frame is of mild steel, zinc plated or resin powder coated, as desired, to eliminate the risk of corrosion. Both flanges of frame are welded with stud so that the stresses and vibrations of line, where it is to be fitted, would not transfer to glass pipe section. Its chuck nut system keeps the glass pipe section in compression and make it easy to replace the same.

Teflon bushes are provided on both the sides of glass pipe section in a way that flowing liquid/chemical would not be in contact with any metallic part of the sight glass. Further teflon washers are provided to use as gasket on both sides at the time of fitting.

Sight glasses can be supplied with the flanges frilled as per customers requirements. However as it is found that most of our clients using sight glasses demand ASA 150 table flanges. We use to keep ASA 150 table glasses ready in stock.
