Ceramic Clothes and Ropes are woven from yarn consisting of refractory ceramic fibre with approximately 20% organic carrier fibre. Inserted materials are incorporated into the yarn to increase fabric tensile strength. These products have exceptionally low smoke-off characteristics upon heating as compared with standard ceramic fibre textiles

Butyl rubber is a copolymer or isobutylene and a small percentage of isoprene and has a very low permeability to air and other gases. It has excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation and sunlight, with an excellent temperature range of -45 C to + 130 C. Butyl has a very low resilience, which makes it ideal for vibration damping and shock absorption applications but offer a moderate resistance to abrasion and compression set. With careful compounding, Butyl compound can be made to acquire really good tensile strength. It is resistant to most inorganic products and highly resistant to mineral acids, alkaline and aqueous acids. We do not recommend its use in application where resistance to oils and Hydrocarbons is required. We can offer halogenated Butyl Rubber Sheets for specified applications

Simwool Ceramic Fiber Rope is mainly used for high temperature sealing and packing application. It is light weight, resilient and has a property of high temperature resistance and chemical stability.

Simwool Ceramic Fiber Blankets are manufactured in two temperature grades viz. 1260C & 1425C. It is made from Simwool Bulk Fibers, which is manufactured by using high purity Alumina, Silica and (Zircon). Double needling enhances the physical properties of the blanket, conferring good strength, handling ability, durability and resistance to delaminating.

Introduction:Flex-O-Seal is a unique sealing material manufactured from special grade of expanded 100% pure PTFE by transforming the fibrous structure by means of a special process. Though very tough, it is spongy and suited to almost all flanges, covers and narrow cavities. Its special soft and flexible character enables it to be the most ideal seal under pressure without significant cold flow even on irregular, badly damaged or corroded flange surfaces. Once bolted this gasket rarely need to be retorqued.

Properties:FLEX-O-SEAL recommended temperature-240C, to 310C, PH Range 0-14 No deterioration due to stocking for long time. Resistant to high pressure, non-toxic.Not recommended for use against elemental fluorine, alkali metals and strong oxidising agents.

Application:FLEX-O-SEAL is safely used in petroleum refinering companies even in their offshore operations, corrosive chemical processing, food processing, paper mill, marine installation, for glass lined or fibre glass reinforced vessels and tank lid sealing, manhole covers, vent pipes, heat exchangers, pumps or compressors housing flanges, valves and many more industrial applications where conventional pre-cut gaskets are not readily available or unsuitable.

Installations:

• The sealing surface must be clean, free from grease and dry to enable the gasket to stick properly.
• The width of the joint gasket is to be determined by the nominal diameter or type of flange. Selection of a tentative size of joint gasket would be approx, 1/3rd flange contact width inside the bolt hole e.g., 7 mm gasket joint to suit a 20 mm flange width.
• Remove the protective foil from the adhesive joint gasket to allow for fitting. Stick the gasket approx 2 mm away from the bolt hole and press on lightly.
• Do not butt the ends overlap them in front of a bolt (see fig. 1)
• Tighten the lubricated bolts in opposite pairs. Since it is highly compressible only bolt pressure is required to seal. The lap joint deforms perfectly to give a reliable seal.
• For delicate components such as glass flanges the gasket ends can be joined by cutting a step in each end of gasket.
• FLEX-O-SEAL is easy to install, able to fill severe surface irregularities and reduces inventory of ready made gaskets, envelopes, etc. It has therefore taken its name as UNIVERSAL JOINT GASKET.
• On irregular or damaged flanged surfaces, it is possible to build up with short length of FLEX-O-SEAL.

Asbestos PTFE packing is made of white asbestos fiber cords impregnated with PTFE dispersion. Soft in texture, this material is suitable for sealing pumps for various chemicals. PTFE Bellows for Lined Pipes

Bellows are specially designed form virgin PTFE and is contour moulded. This manufacturing method guarantess an excellent structure of the material; Symptoms of ageing are practically excluded. Very long term durability and low maintenance costs are assured.

These Bellows are manufactured in different sizes form NB 25mm to NB 500mm. The allowable operating pressures are depending on services conditions. The Bellows can be used upto 200C.

The sealing surfaces are covered end plates and individually boxed for protection against mechanical damage. Limit bolts are preset to prevent over extension during operation.

Composite aramid fiber packing is made from imported aramid short fiber which is twisted in advanced technology and impregnate with PTFE latex and high-temperature lubricated, its softer than common aramid fiber packing and has more content of PTFE and lubricant to make sure its fibers closer to each other to supply high lubricant and low abrasion of shaft, especially suitable for reciprocating pumps with small grains, high pressure and high line speed.Application conditions:

ANTI ABRASIVE PACKING Duplex Plaited Non-Asbestos Synthetic Fibre product which is as strong as steel, as smooth as silk, most flexible and treated with high temperature resisting lubricants, under controlled conditions. Well suited for pumping granular and viscous fluids even under high pressure conditions.

This packing has a high degree of resiliency and consistency of volume and hence avoids frequent gland adjustments. Low thermal expansion characteristics under actual operating conditions reduce mechanical pressure against shaft sleeves to minimise abrasion effect.

Carbon fiber packing with graphite is woven of strong carbon fiber after softening treatment and impregnation with a mixture latex of fine graphite powder, PTFE dispersion and lubricant.
