The transformer oil is used for isolating the winding from atmosphere, as a coolant for removal of het from the windings and also quenches any arc inside the transformer. This oil deteriorates over use and needs to be periodically filtered to bring back the properties as original. Transformer Oil Filtration machines are used for removal of solid impurities, dissolved moisture & gasses in the transformer oil. This improves the break down voltage.
These machines are also used for new oil that is to be filled in a new transformer, to enable get the right insulation parameters.
These machines are manufactured for flow rates from 225 liters per hour to 10,000 liters per hour. The models are based on the vacuum level - Medium High Vacuum, High Vacuum and Ultra High Vacuum. These machines come in different configurations like stationary, semi-mobile with castor wheels, mobile trailer mounted or truck mounted.
