Surface Preparation
Before commencing grouting, ensure the tile adhesive has set firmly. All Joints must be clean, dry and free from any contaminants such as dust, oil, wax, grease, curing agents or other substances that may affect adhesion performance, must be thoroughly cleaned with the help of wire brush - vacuum cleaner Air Blower. Do not use in dump condition. Remove tile spacers between tiles if used.
Mixing And Product Preparation
- Part A (resin coloured paste) is packed in Plastic Container or polythene bag and Part B (liquid hardener in air tight sealed container) are packed Standard Epoxy Bucket container.
- Add component B into component A in clean vessel.
- Mix them for approx. 5 minutes, using a low revolution mixer (300 rpm).
- It is important to stir the mixture thoroughly near the sides and bottom of the container to achieve uniform dispersion of the hardener.
- Do not over-mix; It may cause the epoxy to flash or fast set.
Application
- Apply Epoxy Grout into joints Using a grout float or rubber squeeze or comfortable tool.
- Ensure that the grout is compacted into the entire depth of the joint
- Work in small areas and remove as much excess grout from the tile surface as possible.
- Do not exceed the working time of the grout.
- Change the water frequently to minimize epoxy residue.
- Clean the tile surface Use a sponge, sponge-board or Clean cloth dampened with clean water.
- Allow about 15 minutes for the grout to set a little before cleaning off.
- Once the grout has sufficiently set within the joints, polish the surface with a clean cloth.
- The joints will harden within 30 45 minutes depends up on weather conditions. After
- 90 minutes the tile joints will be stiff if temperature is 38C. If temperature is warmer requires less curing time is temper is on cooler side takes more time to Harden.
