Increase latent heat of steam as steam at lower pressure has higher latent heat compare to steam at high pressure.
If pressure requirement is less than 3.5 kg / cm, the PRS downstream pipe line will exempted from IBR.
It allows lower mechanical strength of steam using equipment & there by reducing initial cost & radiation losses.
Consist of :1. Moisture separator with trap assembly.2. Strainer.3. Upstream, downstream & by-pass valves.4. Pressure reducing valve.5. Pressure gauge with siphon on Upstream & downstream.6.Safety valve.
