Overview

HPL Electric and Power Limited ("HPL"), a multi-product electric equipment company, is an established player in the electrical equipment industry. The Company has always believed in being technically abreast and keeping focus on the design and development of products. HPL has two R&D centres, with over 100 engineers for desgining & development modern products. the R&D Centres are approved by the Department of Scientific and industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. HPL Group, was established in 1956 as "Havells Private Limited". In 1974, an another group company "Havells Electronics Private Limited" came into existance. In 1971, the group adopted a new logo as "HPL". Since then, HPL Group has carved a niche for itself in the electrical industry globally. The flagship company HPL Electric & Power Ltd was incorporated in 1992.

HPL's product range is divided into four verticals – Metering Solutions, Switchgears, Lighting Equipment and Wires & Cables. HPL had the largest market share inthe market for electricity energy meters in India in fiscal 2015, with one of the widest portfolios of meters in Indiaand the fifth largest market share for LED lamps during the corresponding period. HPL is also the oldest manufacturer of LV switchgears in India with nearly 50% market share in changeover switches in fiscal 2015, and has an established presence in the market for CFLs, with increasing focus on manufactureand supply of LED lamps, and wires and cables.(Source: Frost & Sullivan).HPL has over 90 branch offices and representative offices spread across India with over 2,000+ authorized dealers and distributors who sell our products to over 27,000 retailers. HPL has a manpower team comprising 1,943 people and also has presence overseas.


HPL's products have been certified to conform to Indian and International standards such as ISI, CE and KEMA.
