In the process industry double window sight glass are used as an accessory in thepipeline or inlet or outlet of equipments to view the process fluid flow. Traditionaldouble window sight glasses have the glass fitted between two flanges. Due to theinherent principle of tightening of flanges (opposite bolts are tightened one after theother), the glass by default remains stressed by unbalanced tightening torque from thefitting stage itself. This results into breakage during fitting or reduced life due tothermal expansion on an already stressed glass.Also in the traditional way of holding the glass, both the soft gaskets on both sides ofthe glass remains exposed to atmosphere resulting into the process fluid leaking out toatmosphere on the instant of the inside gasket failure. Capnut housing provided in the Indoanushka make MULTIVIEW for housing theglass enables a leak proof tightened housing without unevenly stressing the glassas the tightening is obtained by threading on the cap onto the nut and thereforethe glass gets uniformly and gradually tightened resulting into negligible or nopre-stresses.In this kind of a capnut housing arrangement, the inside gasket for the glass softseating has no scope of getting exposed to atmosphere. In fact it results into thewasher being placed inside a mould. Therefore even in situations of the gasketdisintegrating it casts itself inside the housing thereby it results into a lifelongleak free situation.MULTIVIEW double window sight glasses are provided with clear view (visiblediameter of the glass) of equal to or more than the size of the double windowsight glass. In fact if required a clear view of one or two sizes higher that the sizeof the double window sight glass can be provided, therefore enabling the user tohave as much a large view he requires.
