Coil Evaporative Condensers

Evaporative condensers provide heat rejection for many types of systems, and the specific application will largely determine which INDUS MAKES Evaporative Condenser is best suited for a project. The information contained within this section is geared towards the use of evaporative condensers in the HVAC and light industrial markets only. Evaporative condensers are used in these markets to provide lower condensing temperatures and compressor horsepower savings of up to 15 percent when compared with traditional systems. Principle of OperationThe vapor to be condensed is circulated through a condensing coil, which is continually wetted on the outside by a recirculating water system. Air is pulled over the coil, causing a small portion of the recirculating water to evaporate. The evaporation removes heat from the vapor in the coil, causing it to condense.

Configuration

INDUS MAKES manufactures two types of evaporative condensers: Combined Flow and Counter Flow.

Combined Flow:Combined Flow is the use of both a condensing coil and fill surface for heat transfer in an evaporative condenser. The addition of fill surface to the traditional evaporative condenser design reduces evaporation in the coil section, reducing the potential for scaling and fouling. INDUS MAKESs combined flow evaporative condensers utilize the parallel flow of air and spray water over the coil, and crossflow air/water flow through the fill surface.In parallel flow, air and water flow over the coil in the same direction. In the fill section of INDUS MAKESs combined flow evaporative condensers, air and water interact in a crossflow configuration: water flows vertically down the fill as air flows horizontally across it.

Plate Evaporative Condensers

Indus Make Plate Type Evaporative condensers Evaporative Condenser is a kind of high-efficient heat exchange equipment which comes into being on the basis of absorbing the most advanced foreign heat-exchange technology.

WXRD/B Series Evaporative Condenser uses water and air as cooling medium. The cooling medium exchanges the heat with high-heat gaseous refrigerant medium and hence the refrigerant medium becomes liquid. Inside, there are water dispatching system, condensing coils/plate, wet padding heat exchange layer, and dehydrator and so on. Outside, there are water circulating pump, an electronic water-curing device and a propeller fan on the top of condensing coil/plate. The propeller fan strengthens the flow of the air and causes negative pressure inside. When the condenser works, the cooling water is sprayed from water dispatching system to the surface of condensing coils/plate equably to form a thin layer of water film. The high-heat steam of refrigerant medium enters from the top of condensing coil/plate and then the cooled liquid refrigerant medium is discharged from the bottom of the condensing coil/plate. During this process, high-heat refrigerant medium exchanges the heat with the water and air outside the coil/plate and increases the efficiency of medium exchange with the help of wind. After absorbing the heat of refrigerant medium, some water turns into steam and is discharged by propeller fan. Meanwhile, the moisture in the air is collected by dehydrator to collecting basin, and then the non-gasified cooling water flows into heat exchange layer and its heat is taken away by the airflow. The cooled water converges in the basin to be used circularly by the pump later. In addition, there is a ball cock in the basin. When the water is consumed to a certain point, the ball cock will automatically open to replenish the cooling water.
