Gold Tool Rubber Base With Steel & Nylon Block This three pieces set includes a thick vulcanized firm rubber base which absorbs shock, plus a solid steel block which is 15/16" (24mm) thick and 3" (75mm) in diameter. The third piece is a sturdy nylon block the same size that fits into the rubber base for lighter, more delicate work. This is a well made set, and allows one to hammer (for projects such as texturing, hardening and flattening) without creating excess noise and vibration at the bench. The rubber base absorbs some of the "blow" from the hammer. Total weight of set is 2.5 lbs
Gold Tool Steel Grooving Block A versatile block made of fine, hardened steel. For bending and shaping creative forms on small lengths or sheet, wire, tubes and rods. Rectangle, half-round and V-shaped grooves and a number of flat surfaces make this a very handy tool on the jewelers work bench. The V-Grove not only is great for bending wire and sheet in unique ways, but it also allows you to hammer on the tubing with out smashing it. Gently rotate your tube while hammering to make sure you form it evenly. This block also makes holding tubing during cutting very easy.
