Gypsum is a by-product available from Phosphoric Acid Plant and used in production of Ammonium Sulphate. GSFC has been first in the country to develop and implement successfully Phospho-Gypsum process for manufacture of Ammonium Sulphate.   This product is available in a fine mesh powder form Phosphoric Acid Plant mainly used in Agriculture as soil amendment. Gypsum is a sedimentary mineral. It is found in layers that were formed under salt water millions of years ago. The water evaporated and left the mineral. Gypsum is composed of calcium sulfate (CaSO4) and water (H2O), i.e. Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate (CaSO4.2H2O). In Europe, the principal Gypsum quarries are located in Germany, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia and the Ukraine. The main chemical substitute to natural Gypsum is FGD Gypsum(Flue Gas Desulphurisation Gypsum). It is generated by coal-fired power plants. FGD Gypsum is the end product of a wet purification procedure with natural lime that is generated according to the same laws as natural Gypsum but in a speeded-up process taking only a few hours. Gypsum is also an indefinitely recyclable raw material. You can always reuse Gypsum because the chemical composition of the raw material in the products remains unchanged. It prevent from algae and fungi on wall. Any kind of paint/distemper can be applied on it. It a cementations material it has better adhesiveness and durability. No need to apply any kind of primer before application of paint/distemper.   Application   Wall Putty with 30-35% clean water slowly to make a paste. Continue the mixing for 10-15 minute till a uniform paste is formed. Always prepare a required quantity of putty and use with in 2-3 hrs. of mixing of with water. Apply the first coat on already moistened wall surface from bottom to upward direction uniformly with help of putty blade. Leave the surface to dry for at last 3 hour and then apply second coat of putty. After drying the first coat of putty just rub the surface gently with wet sponge with a putty blade in order to remove loose particles. Leave the surface to dry preferably for over might. Total thickness of the coat should be limited to maximum 1.5 mm. Gently level the wall/ceiling surface with very fine water proof emery paper of not less than 500 number to get a glossy white surface.
