Banana is the most widely known tropical fruit, ranging in size, sweetness and colour. They have a high boost of energy due to its sweetness and extremely rich mineral content, whether green, yellow or red. Bananas are technically berries. They are used in food in every stage and shape. The multitude of their consumption cannot be counted – from being peeled and eaten, to being served as salad, fruit cups, custards, mashes, sandwiches, chips, stuffed, baked, boiled, broiled, thinned, jelled and as gelatine. Raw bananas are cooked with skin on and pulverised to be eaten with rice. Bananas also have several medicinal applications, especially in treating ulcers and bronchitis. Fully ripe bananas also have antifungal and anti biotic characteristics. They are also a good source of quick sugar where any other instant food is not available. We administer absolute post harvest control to keep the berries from undesirable ripening, humidity damage, unnecessary softening, brown specks, and to keep them attractively clear yellow.
