Valiya Rasanadi Kashayam

Acute as well as chronic disorders of joints and muscular system and nervous system like arthritis, facial palsy, hemiplegia are cured by the use of Valiya Rasnadi kashayam along with specific anupanas like yogarajguggulu/ kaishoraguggulu etc. As the diseases gets chronic, the mode and period of intake of kashaya as well as anupana differs. The ingredients like ayamodakam, jeeraetc have their effect on abdominal dysfunction due to flatulence, indigestion etc. Diet restriction has to be followed strictly to avoid antagonistic reactions between drug and the food which might delay or deter the effectiveness of the medicine.

Cheriya Rasnadi Kashayam

A decoction effective in acute inflammatory conditions of joints and muscles. Effective in swelling and pain present in knee joint, ankles, hip joint and neck.

In early stages of joint disorders/degeneration of joints, the inflammatory condition begins with redness, pain and swelling which would remain for few years, unless treated with apt medicines. The inflammation might even affect the rest of the joints including upper and lower limbs. The major ingredients of the kashaya, Rasna is the most effective cure in the painful condition of arthritis and swelling as well. Ingredients like Vrisha, patola, harithakietc acts effectively against the paithika condition like redness, burning sensation and tenderness. The nervous system is also strengthened which inturnimproves the functions of joints and muscles. A cataract is a clouding that develops in the crystalline lens of the eye or in its envelope (lens capsule), varying in degree from slight to complete opacity and obstructing the passage of light. Early in the development of age-related cataract, the power of the lens may be increased, causing near-sightedness (myopia) and the gradual yellowing and pacification of the lens may reduce the perception of blue colors. Cataracts typically progress slowly to cause vision loss, and are potentially blinding if untreated. The condition usually affects both eyes, but almost always one eye is affected earlier than the other.
A senile cataract, occurring in the elderly, is characterized by an initial opacity in the lens, subsequent swelling of the lens and final shrinkage with complete loss of transparency. Moreover, with time the cataract cortex liquefies to form a milky white fluid in a Morgagnian cataract, which can cause severe inflammation if the lens capsule ruptures and leaks.
