HaradaFruit (Terminalia chebula) combines with vibhitika (Belliric myrobalan) and amla (Indian gooseberry) to form Triphala. The combination of these fruits is an Arurvedic remedy to rejuvinate the body. Triphala is used to promote bowel movement and cleanse the system. Triphala has also been used to reduce cholesterol and high blood pressure, improve circulation and liver function, and act as an anti-inflammatory.
Himejis also known as Myrobalan, Chebulic Myrobalan or Ink Nut. The botanical name is called Terminalia Chebula, and the Sanscrit name for Himej is Haritaki and Pathya. This fruit can be used when dried, as immature and matur fruits. The outer skin is also used. Known for its astringent, laxative and tonic properties, Himej is used in fevers, cough, asthma, urinary diseases, piles, and rheumatism.
Isabgolare used to relieve constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, and diarrhea. They are also used as a regular dietary supplement to improve and maintain regular GI transit. The inert bulk of the husks helps provide a constant volume of solid material irrespective of other aspects of the diet or any disease condition of the gut.
Sennais an herb. The leaves and the fruit of the plant are used to make medicine. Senna is an FDA-approved nonprescription laxative. It is used to treat constipation and also to clear the bowel before diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy.
Tejpattaare aromatic leaves which are used for culinary and medicinal purposes. It is thought to have been one of the major sources of the medicinal plant leaves known in classic and medieval times as malabathrum (or malobathrum).
