Rapeseed Methyl Ester

Methyl ester of rapeseed (RME) is a methyl ester mixture made up of saturated and unsaturated C16 to C22 fatty acids. Technically, methyl esters of rapeseed are produced by chemical conversion of rapeseed oil using methanol. RME is a clear, thin, combustible, non water-soluble liquid that gives off a faint smell. It is used as a substitute for diesel fuel (Biodiesel) and is also used as a solvent in the specialist industries (such as adhesives, foundries etc.). The principal constituents of methyl ester of rapeseed are oleic (55-65%), linoleic (18-25%), linolenic (5-11%) and palmitic acids (5-8%). Other fatty acids account for <1% of the product. Soya Methyl Ester

Soya Methyl Ester or Methyl Soyate is a methyl ester derived from soybean oil, and is a methyl ester mixture made up of saturated and unsaturated C16 to C18 fatty acids. SME is a low-cost, readily biodegradable alternative that can replace most of the traditional chlorinated and petroleum solvents. Methyl soyate finds use as a carrier solvent and adjuvant. SME has a high solvency with a Kauri-butanol (KB) value of around 58 and has low toxicity. In comparison to most commercial solvents, SME is safer to handle and store due to its high flashpoint of approximately 170 degrees Celsius and high boiling point of well over 200 degrees Celsius. In addition, soya methyl ester is not an ozone-depleting chemical (ODC), hazardous air pollutant or volatile organic compound (VOC). Biodiesel

It is Biodegradable, derived from natural and renewable sources. Can be blended with Diesel or can be substituted to the extent of 100%. Gives better lubricity to fuel injection equipment, has a higher Cetane No., Low emission. It is a good Solvent and a Cleaner. It can be used for Detergents after Sulphonation. Biodiesel (LDO) : Replacement for light diesel oil (LDO) heating fuel for oil fired burners. Biodiesel (FO) : Replacement for furnace oil heating for low pressure burners. METHYL ESTERS : Manufactured from vegetable oils / fatty acids for technical use. biodiesel has better lubricity and lower emissions compared to petroleum fuels.

Fatty acid methyl esters are produced by a catalyzed reaction between fats or fatty acids and methanol. FAME characteristics include high boiling points, good lubricity and excellent solubility in organic solvents. Fatty acid methyl esters are versatile products covering a wide range of product uses including: lubricants, metalworking fluids, solvents, fuels, agriculture, surfactants, polymers, coatings and plasticizers. In solvent applications, they are known as green solvents because fatty acid methyl esters are biodegradable, produce low volatile components (VOCs), and are non-toxic to humans. In addition to SME and RME, we also offer methyl esters based on castor, linseed, palm oil and tallow . Methyl esters of other vegetable or fat base can also be manufactured at our facility. Biodiesel LDO

Reddish brown colour heating fuel for light oil burners. Replace 100% light diesel oil (LDO). Does not require any preheating thus saving on the heating cost , it is free flowing and the properties are comparable to LDO
